The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Be hands-on delivering code to production supporting the architecture and design of the system aligned to a microservice structure. Be expected to have an awareness of business engineering and non-functional requirements to help our business to grow.
Drive the wider engineering culture expected across our teams. Collaborate with a global team where coordination activities would cross regional boundaries. Proactively remove impediments, see risk and communicate issues to program management. Identify process inefficiencies and find innovative and programmatic ways to eliminate them.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Have strong experience in software engineering with proven expertise in designing, developing and deploying backend applications.
- Experience regularly delivering change to production at high cadence.
- Experience delivering RESTful APIs to production.
- Previous experience writing schemas for and working with PostgreSQL databases.
You should also have experience with one or more of the following:
- Experience with Java, preferably recent use of the latest versions.
- An understanding of containers and Container Orchestration technology such as Docker, Kubernetes and GCP Cloud platform.
- Experience working in the financial sector, specifically banking.
