We are hiring a Finance Apprentice to support the Finance team with daily accounting and administrative tasks while working towards an AAT Level 1/2 qualification. This hybrid role is perfect for someone starting a career in finance and seeking hands-on experience. You’ll assist with invoice processing, payment runs, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Applicants should have strong numeracy, attention to detail, basic IT skills, and GCSEs in Maths and English. Experience of working within a finance position is preferred. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the finance payables inbox and ensure timely responses
  • Help deal with supplier queries and provide accurate information
  • Match purchase orders to supplier invoices to maintain compliance
  • Process supplier invoices and payments efficiently
  • Assist with the weekly payment run to ensure deadlines are met
  • Support accounts payable and receivable activities across the team
  • Help maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with bank postings and reconciliation to keep accounts up to date
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures at all times
  • Support month-end processes
Skills required:
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail
  • Organisation skills
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Basic IT skills, particularly in Excel/Word/Outlook
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
  • Good communication skills
  • Finance experience
  • Full AAT Level 1 qualification or studying towards AAT Level 1
  • 4 GCSE’s A - C (or equivalent) including Maths and English
