Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in the local authority sector, based in the Barnsley area, who are actively looking to recruit an LGV Waste Collection Driver (Category C) on an ongoing temporary basis.
What you will be doing:
- Carrying out household waste and recycling collections safely and efficiently
- Leading and supervising a waste collection crew on daily routes
- Operating LGV vehicles and associated waste collection machinery
- Ensuring high standards of health & safety for colleagues and the public
- Delivering a professional, customer-focused service within the community
What you will need to succeed:
- A valid UK Category C driving licence
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Experience working in waste collection or a similar operational environment
- A strong understanding of health & safety practices
- The ability to lead a team and work well in all weather conditions
What you will receive in return:
- Working hours Tuesday to Friday 06:00 - 15:45
- £16.35 per hour
