Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our established and market leading client near Chippenham who urgently require a Technical Sales Engineer to join their busy team.
In this key role, duties will include the following:
- Leading and mentoring the sales team
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers
- Quickly assessing and understanding customer requirements to provide the appropriate solutions
- Liaison with a number of internal departments to produce quotations and proposals
- Offering promotional and new product advice
- Following up on quotations and negotiating terms
- Ensuring successful customer service throughout project life cycles
- Identifying and prospecting new clients
What you will need to succeed:
- A proven track record within heavy engineering essential
- Qualification in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Understanding of engineering and heavy plant essential, including hydraulics and pneumatics
- Thorough understanding of technical concepts
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent IT skills including ERP/CRM software
- First rate communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of clients
- Strong commercial acumen
