Thrive Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming Primary School in Widnes from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment, working within a Junior class and supporting pupils across the curriculum. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
The Role
- Supporting teaching and learning within a Junior class
- Delivering small group interventions and classroom support
- Working closely with the class teacher to support pupil progress
- Supporting phonics development where required
- Creating a positive and engaging learning environment
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working within a school setting
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Little Wandle Phonics
- A positive, proactive and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
