About the Role
A vibrant and welcoming junior primary school on the Wirral is seeking to appoint an inspirational SENCO to lead our dedicated inclusion team. This is a unique temp-to-perm opportunity starting in September 2026. For the right candidate, this long-term temporary position will transition into a permanent contract, offering excellent job security and room for professional growth.
As our SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic development of our SEND policy and provision. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure that our Key Stage 2 pupils with additional needs achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the strategic direction and day-to-day operation of SEND provision across the junior school.
- Coordinate targeted support and interventions for Key Stage 2 children with EHCPs and SEN support plans.
- Support, mentor, and advise teaching staff and TAs on high-quality inclusive practices.
