We are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Liverpool.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to develop their career in education.
Working alongside teaching staff and the wider pastoral team, you will support pupils across the secondary age range, helping them to access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
The Role of a Teaching Assistant
- Support pupils in the classroom through 1:1 and small-group interventions.
- Work closely with teachers to help pupils engage with their learning and make progress.
- Provide support to pupils who may require additional academic, behavioural or emotional support.
- Build positive relationships with pupils while encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements of a Teaching Assistant
- Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably within an education setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
- Excellent communication skills, patience and resilience.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
