Our client, a well-established and growing warehousing and distribution business in the South West, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their busy and friendly team on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern in Radstock, Somerset. Applicants must hold a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence and be within a reasonable commuting distance of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and storage facilities
- Receiving and processing incoming deliveries
- Checking goods for damage, discrepancies, or missing items
- Moving and handling stock manually and using warehouse equipment
- Container unloading and de-stuffing
- Loading and unloading trailers for deliveries and collections
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is essential
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence (in-house certifications accepted)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Bendi Truck licence desirable but not essential, as training can be provided
