We are supporting a major manufacturing site with the appointment of an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of capital equipment and process integration projects across production operations.

This role plays a key part in the end-to-end implementation of new equipment, from FAT and SAT through installation, validation, commissioning, and ramp-up - ensuring a seamless transition into live manufacturing with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support capital deployment projects, including breakthrough, capacity, and replacement programmes
  • Participate in FAT, SAT, validation, commissioning, and vertical start-up activities
  • Prepare installation plans, test plans, and validation documentation
  • Lead equipment integration into existing manufacturing processes
  • Ensure EHS compliance (LOTO, guarding, controls, standards)
  • Support training plans, competence assessments, and documentation handover
  • Provide technical support during ramp-up to achieve OEE and performance targets
  • Diagnose and resolve integration issues with engineering teams and vendors
  • Coordinate handover to operations, maintenance, and quality teams
  • Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong exposure to equipment installation, validation, and commissioning
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Knowledge of EHS standards and manufacturing best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a live production environment
  • Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills

Contract Information

This is a temporary project role, initially expected to run for 2 years. The duration may be extended or shortened depending on project progress and business requirements.
