Thrive Oldham are recruiting for a FLT Reach Driver in the Oldham Area/OL9 on behalf of our well-established client.
What you will be doing:
- Assisting the stores team leader where required to manage stock and spares requirements
- Moving large stock with a Reach FLT
- Carrying out Line Feeding duties when needed
- Stock control
- Loading and unloading of deliveries
- Adhering to strict health and safety policies at all times
- Manual handling
- Operating the Reach FLT trucks in and around the warehouse
- Basic picking and packing around the warehouse
- Reporting any damages to the product
- Communicating effectively within the workplace
- Identifying and labelling pallets for dispatch
- Ensuring that the shop floor is kept tidy and organised
- Working with the dispatch supervisor to develop processes to complete the production schedule in a timely manner whilst assisting and supporting the dispatch and stores team leaders in their day-to-day tasks
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a busy production warehouse/environment
- Valid external FLT Reach licence
- Confident and flexible nature in dealing with issues that arise
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- Good concentration with good eyes for details
- PC Literate, experience of utilising Microsoft Office packages
- Successful candidate must complete a drug and alcohol test at our Oldham office before starting and must not have a criminal record
What you will receive in return:
- Monday to Friday between 7am - 8pm (with flexibility to work overtime on short notice)
- Pay rate: £13.70-£14.00 per hour depending on experience / temporary, contract to provide holiday cover, but opportunity for extension for the right candidate
