Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Frome who is actively looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Lead engineer, you will be working within our FMCG production facility:
- Attend machine breakdowns efficiently and provide effective measures to ensure issues are resolved.
- Carry out PPM, corrective and improvement actions on all packing and process machines.
- Use continuous improvement techniques and best practice to improve machine efficiencies.
- Deliver and develop effective reactive maintenance, repairs & improvements.
- Have overall responsibility for maintaining efficient operation of the process equipment.
- Ensure that other than planned downtime the processing plant is available and running at optimum levels at all times.
- Ensure that the product produced is of the highest standard by not compromising the process plant with short term fixes.
What you will need to succeed:
- Multi-skilled automation skills on packing equipment or equivalent.
- Excellent fault finding and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience of working in a FMCG environment.
- Some supervisory experience would be beneficial.
- Comfortable in autonomous decision making and team working.
