Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Frome who is actively looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

  • Attend machine breakdowns efficiently and provide effective measures to ensure issues are resolved
  • Carry out PPM, corrective and improvement actions on all packing and process machines
  • Use continuous improvement techniques and best practice to improve machine efficiencies.
  • Deliver and develop effective re-active maintenance, repairs & improvements
  • Have overall responsibility for maintaining efficient operation of the process equipment
  • Ensure that, other than planned downtime, the processing plant is available and running at optimum levels at all times.
  • Ensure that the product that we produce is of the highest standard by not compromising the process plant with short term fixes

What you will need to succeed:

  • Multi-skilled automation skills on packing equipment or equivalent
  • Excellent fault finding and route cause analysis skills
  • Experience of working in a FMCG environment
  • Some supervisory experience would be beneficial
  • Comfortable in autonomous decision making and team working
