Overview
Thrive Group are looking for an Installation Operative on a permanent basis for our client based in Begwary (MK44 postcode area of Bedford). The location is based near to St Neots, Wyboston, Sandy, Biggleswade.
About the company: A market-leading supplier of Non-Mechanical Plant and Equipment for Sale and Hire, servicing the Construction, Civil Engineering, and Utility sectors. They provide products such as Traffic Management Barriers, Hoarding and Fencing Systems, Temporary Access Mats, Portable Roadways, Trench Covers, and more.
Responsibilities
- Installation of fencing, barriers and track matting products on sites across the UK
- Liaising with internal teams and clients during installations
- Working flexible hours and staying away from home when required
- Picking, packing, and quality checking of products
- Quality check and cleaning of products in the external yard (wet work)
- Manual handling of equipment
- General yard upkeep and health & safety compliance
Requirements for the role
- Must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 minor penalty points, DDs, DRs INs, TT99s etc. are not accepted
- Able to complete manual tasks
- Able to work away from home when required
- Able to travel to our clients location in Begwary
- FLT experience β licence can be expired or in-house
- CSCS card
- Side loader certificate
- Telehandler licence
- It is not essential to hold all certificates and our client is open to candidates dependant on experience but it is ESSENTIAL to hold full UK driving licence.
Hours, salary & incentives
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday, some weekends can be included. Various start times from 5am.
- Salary: Β£28,000
- Overtime paid at time and a half
- The client is currently putting together an installation incentive scheme.
