The predicted salary is between 28500 - 35000 £ per year.
We are recruiting for HGV drivers to work for the local council in Rochdale, with immediate starts available. You will be joining the waste team on site driving the bin wagons, working daily with 2 bin loaders, driving or loading the vehicle collecting public waste. On the odd occasion, you may be required to work as a loader; however, you will always be paid the driver's rate. For suitable drivers, there will be ongoing work available. Experience working outdoors/with waste is preferred but not essential as long as you have HGV experience.
Hours of work are Tuesday to Friday, starting at 06:30.
- Requirements:
- Over the age of 21 due to insurance purposes
- No DR10 or IN10 or more than 6 points on your licence
- All work is PAYE
Shifts: 06:30 start, working Tuesday to Friday. There is also potential for overtime on weekends and bank holidays.
Pay: £13.69 per hour, increasing to £14.68 per hour after a 12-week probation period.
