Thrive Oldham are recruiting refuse loaders in the Rochdale area. Job description Refuse Loader - Heywood, Rochdale £12.85 per hour rising to £13.55 Tuesday to Friday, 37 hrs p/wk, 7am start.

To participate in overtime working to meet the needs of the service as and when required.

Duties:
  • To collect household waste for recycling/composting/disposal from properties in the Borough.
  • To work in adverse weather conditions as necessary.
  • Reporting to charge hand.
  • To work in any area, or with any crew as directed by his/her supervisor.
  • To assist the public when/where possible in a courteous and helpful manner at all times.
  • To operate hydraulic bin lifts and tail lift equipment in line with agreed safe systems of work.
  • To undertake any additional training as necessary on different vehicles and bin lifts to ensure safe and proper use of equipment.
  • Attend regular refresher courses on existing and new equipment used for waste and recycling services.
  • To undertake banks man training in line with road traffic requirements.
  • To work as part of the waste collection and recycling team to ensure a first class waste collection and recycling service is provided to the residents of the Borough.
