Thrive Bolton are looking for a Cemetery Driving Operative to join the team of a local council. The Role will include the below duties: Keeping roads, pathways and open spaces clear from debris/litter /leaves. Empty litter bins Undertake ground maintenance duties including lawns, & verges, shrub & flower bed maintenance, shrub bed pruning, strimming, hedge cutting, edging off Usage of grass cutting equipment, mowers, blowers, strimmer's Safely operate plant & equipment. Assist in the preparation of graves for burials, including excavations and support with hand tools and mechanical digger assistant. Backfilling and aftercare of graves, including topping up and routine maintenance. Dealing with public enquiries and complaints from the public in a sympathetic manner. Checking headstones for damage and lay down those that are unsafe. Completion of worksheets Winter gritting footpath areas Driving duties associated with the role.Must hold a full driving licence and be flexible to the needs of the service.
