Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Concrete Operative to join our team. Established for over 50 years, we are one of the market leaders in the cast stone industry, with unrivaled customer service and a focus on providing the very best products. As a member of the production team, the Concrete Operative will be involved in a wide range of duties within the factory environment, playing a key role in the delivery of our cast stone products.
Position Type: Full time – 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday (06:00 – 16:00)
Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Filling moulds with wet and semi-dry concrete.
- Stripping, cleaning, oiling and reassembling moulds ready for reuse.
- Setting moulds with fixings and reinforcements as specified.
- Operating the mixers.
- Floating, etching and blinding-in the finished goods.
- Cleaning down the plant at the end of each shift.
- Maintaining a tidy work environment.
Person Description
Essential
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to prioritise tasks in line with production targets and health & safety requirements
- Excellent time keeping, attendance and flexibility with a positive attitude
Desirable
- Construction/manufacturing industry experience
- Experience manufacturing concrete
- Forklift truck license
