Thrive are delighted to be working with a large client base covering Somerset and Wiltshire who are actively looking to recruit HGV Class 1, Class 2 & 3.5t Drivers on a temporary (ad-hoc and ongoing) basis. Whether you’re looking for a few shifts a week or consistent ongoing work, we have a variety of opportunities to suit your availability.
What you will be doing:
- Completing HGV Class 1 or Class 2 deliveries and collections
- Trunking, RDC, depot-to-depot or local multi-drop work (depending on preference)
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring road safety compliance
- Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork and PODs
- Providing professional and courteous service to clients
What you will need to succeed:
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) Licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience preferred
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and WTD regulations
- Flexible and reliable attitude with good communication skills
