Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Frome who are actively looking to recruit an Engineering Technician to join the team on a permanent basis.
What you will be doing:
Working in the Engineering team you will support the day-to-day operation and basic maintenance of site utility systems, including steam, water, HVAC and compressed air
- Carry out routine inspections, monitoring tasks, and planned preventative maintenance activities in line with site schedules
- Assist with fault finding and repairs, escalating complex or recurring issues to the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager
- Support the maintenance of utility service levels to meet production requirements
- Undertake routine monitoring activities to support compliance with environmental and statutory requirements
- Operate and monitor plant equipment such as cooling towers, air handling units and building management systems within defined procedures
What you will need to succeed:
- Minimum NVQ level 3 / a recognised apprenticeship in Engineering
- Commitment to safe working practices
- Ability to read engineering diagrams and mechanical drawings
What you will receive in return:
- £32,000 to £37,000 per annum (DOE)
- Monday to Friday 08.30Am to 17.30AM - 100% site based
- Company pension 6%* employer contribution (Salary exchange)(*subject to contract)
