This position is no longer open for applications. Thrive Group Bolton are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join our busy builders merchants team in Burnley. This is a customer-facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, helping customers and being part of a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing customer orders (typically 50–100 products daily)
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Assisting trade and public customers in the yard
- Answering telephone enquiries and taking customer orders
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard area
- Heavy lifting and manual handling throughout the day
- Supporting warehouse and counter staff when required
What We’re Looking For
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
