Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our client near Chippenham who are actively looking to recruit a Lead Multi-Skilled Assembly Engineer on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

  • Assembly of a range of products ensuring they are built to high standards of precision and quality
  • Leading the coordination of jobs and process improvements
  • Assembly and integration of complex systems including hydraulic, mechanical and electrical components
  • Working from detailed engineering drawings, wiring schedules, schematics, hydraulic circuit diagrams and work instructions
  • Installation of hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, actuators and fittings
  • Electrical wiring, cable routing, termination and test of control panels and sensors
  • Testing of assembled systems, identifying and rectifying faults where necessary

What you will need to succeed:

  • Experience within a heavy engineering environment essential
  • Extensive hydraulics and diagnostic experience (large part of the role)
  • Electrical ability including 12/24v
  • A good eye for detail and the ability to solve problems and plan ahead
  • Ability to read and reverse engineer production plans
  • Attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality standards
  • Excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with a variety of individuals
  • BTEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
