We are seeking an outstanding SEN Teacher for a long-term position at a prestigious, 'Outstanding' Secondary School in the L36 area. The successful candidate will teach tailored curriculum pathways to students with Mild Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Epilepsy. Hours are 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM, providing a structured and rewarding working routine within a state-of-the-art SEN department.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess differentiated secondary lessons tailored to pupils with MLD and ASD.
- Create a structured, sensory-friendly classroom environment conducive to learning and well-being.
- Collaborate with SENCO, Therapists, and TAs to ensure complete support for pupils with Epilepsy and SEN conditions.
- Utilize visual aids, structured routines, and adaptive learning strategies.
- Write and update EHCP reviews, target tracking, and progress reports.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- Substantial experience teaching SEN secondary pupils (MLD/ASD focus preferred).
- Sound knowledge of differentiated secondary curriculum pathways and EHCP processes.
- Strong classroom leadership and ability to deploy support staff effectively.
- DBS on the Update Service.
