Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Trowbridge who are actively looking to recruit an Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis.
What you will be doing:
As the Accountant, you\’ll play a key role in managing the finance function and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial information. You will:
- Manage the accounts department, overseeing day-to-day financial operations.
- Produce monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts in accordance with company procedures and reporting deadlines.
- Prepare and submit monthly manufacturer management information within agreed timescales.
- Reconcile balance sheets, control accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
What you will need to succeed:
- AAT qualified or Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or QBE experience).
- Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance management role.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Strong proficiency in accounting and ERP systems such as Sage 50/200, Xero, or QuickBooks.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis).
- Experience with payroll, VAT returns, and bank reconciliations.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and numerical ability.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
