We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable 1:1 Tutor to support a Year 8 student with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an off-site setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing tailored academic support in a calm, supportive environment outside of a school setting. In addition to this role, we have multiple opportunities available for tutors to work with secondary-aged students across a range of settings, including libraries, community centres, and children's homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to the student’s individual learning needs
  • Support engagement, confidence, and progress in learning
  • Plan and adapt sessions in Maths, English, and/or Science
  • Work collaboratively with coordinators and, where appropriate, carers or support staff
  • Maintain accurate session records and provide feedback on student progress

Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally with SEN
  • Strong subject knowledge in at least one of the following: Maths, English, or Science
  • Patient, flexible, and empathetic approach
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to different learning environments
  • Relevant qualifications or tutoring/teaching experience preferred
