Membership Sales Executive

About the Role
We are looking for a commercially focused Membership Sales Executive to join our client's team and play an important role in growing and retaining their membership through proactive sales and customer engagement.
This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and target driven sales professional who enjoys speaking with businesses, building relationships and converting opportunities into results.
You will be responsible for managing inbound membership enquiries, qualifying prospective customers, recommending the most appropriate membership options and identifying opportunities across a wider range of commercial products and services.
The successful candidate will be confident on the telephone, highly organised and motivated by achieving sales targets, while maintaining a strong focus on delivering an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to inbound membership enquiries.
- Manage and develop a structured pipeline of prospective members using the CRM system.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand prospects' needs and recommend appropriate membership packages.
- Convert qualified enquiries into new members and achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.
- Work closely with Marketing to maximise leads generated through campaigns, events and digital activity.
- Support sales campaigns promoting membership, events, sponsorship, advertising and partnership opportunities.
- Promote and sell attendance at paid events and training.
- Identify and develop opportunities for sponsorship, partnerships and advertising.
- Re-engage lapsed members through proactive telephone and email campaigns.
- Identify opportunities to increase commercial income across products and services.
- Book appointments for the Business Development Manager where face-to-face engagement would be beneficial.
- Ensure all customer interactions, sales opportunities and follow-up activity are accurately recorded in the CRM.
- Prepare quotes and proforma invoices and ensure sales activity is processed accurately.
- Provide a seamless handover to the Relationship Management team following successful onboarding.
- Produce regular pipeline, KPI and sales performance reports.
- Monitor conversion rates and identify trends and opportunities for revenue growth.
- Build positive relationships with prospective and new members and deliver an excellent customer experience from first enquiry through to activation.
About You
We are looking for a confident and commercially minded sales professional who can build rapport quickly and enjoys working towards measurable goals.
Ideally, you will have
- Previous experience in sales, telesales, customer success or account management.
- A proven ability to achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Excellent telephone, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and experience managing customer information through CRM systems.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop sales opportunities.
- The confidence to engage with business owners, directors and senior decision-makers.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by SMEs.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- A self-motivated, results-focused approach and the ability to work effectively to targets.
- A genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- A positive, enthusiastic and professional approach.
Experience within a membership organisation, or selling events, sponsorship or advertising opportunities, would be advantageous.

- Salary of up to £28,000 per annum.

- Working Arrangements
