Do you have solid experience in maintenance engineering and a passion for helping others grow? Our client is looking for a motivated and technically skilled General Maintenance Engineering Tutor Assessor to join their team. In this rewarding role, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment across mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance disciplines, supporting learners to develop the practical and theoretical knowledge they need to thrive in industry. What We're Looking For
- A relevant engineering qualification at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Maintenance Engineering
- GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
- Proven industry experience in general maintenance engineering across mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Experience of fault diagnosis and carrying out repairs across mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of preventative and reactive maintenance techniques and health and safety in engineering environments
- The ability to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging classroom and workshop-based training, adapting delivery to suit a range of learner needs and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, engage, and motivate learners at all levels
- Good record-keeping and organisational skills, with a commitment to quality and compliance
- A teaching qualification (e.g. AET) or assessing qualification (e.g. CAVA) is desirable, training towards these is available and fully funded for the right candidate
- Knowledge of PLCs, automated systems, or apprenticeship standards would be a welcome advantage
