About the Role

Our client is seeking a focused and enthusiastic Sales Administrator / Internal Sales Executive to join their team in Stourbridge. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with previous sales administration or internal sales experience to play a key role in supporting our sales function and delivering exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inbound enquiries, generating and following up quotations, processing customer orders, and identifying sales opportunities through effective customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer sales and customer service telephone enquiries.
  • Respond to and follow up on enquiries received via the company website, email, telephone, and live chat.
  • Prepare, issue, and follow up customer quotations.
  • Resolve customer service queries and issues efficiently.
  • Ensure live chat enquiries are managed during business opening hours.
  • Process customer purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure orders are delivered on time.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of company products and services.
  • Advise customers on suitable product selections based on their requirements.
  • Conduct effective fact finding to identify customer needs.
  • Arrange face-to-face meetings with prospective customers where required.
  • Support the sales team in generating and nurturing quality sales opportunities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 12 months’ experience in a Sales Administrator, Internal Sales, or similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach to work.
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
