Thrive Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Supply Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN unit in Cirencester on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with additional learning needs while gaining valuable experience in a supportive educational setting.
The Role
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive both academically and socially.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and learning disabilities.
- Assisting with the delivery of individual learning plans and classroom activities.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support.
- Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and confidence.
- Supporting positive behaviour management strategies.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and parents where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate

- Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting.
- Are patient, caring, and adaptable.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
