Thrive Education is seeking enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of schools across Stroud and the surrounding areas. If you have experience working with children and a passion for supporting their growth and development, we want to hear from you. Qualifications are desirable but not essential — what matters most is your dedication to helping young learners "thrive".
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive, and effective lessons.
- Work with individual children or small groups to provide targeted support.
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Encourage and promote the social, emotional, and educational development of all children.
- Provide 1:1 support to those most in need as they try to access an education.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children (in school, nursery, or other relevant settings).
- A genuine passion for education and child development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach.
- A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Knowledge of the national curriculum and classroom routines.
- Experience working with children with additional needs.
