Nursery Cook – Required at Thrive Childcare and Education at Corner House Stirling
35 hrs/week, Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 3pm.
Responsibilities
- Working within the setting to provide nutritional meals for children (generally 45-50 per day).
- Prepare meals in a safe and hygienic environment with adherence to Health and Safety standards.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Thorough understanding and importance of working with allergies within a catering environment.
- Experience within a nursery, care home or similar settings.
- Ability to work within time scales and understand the importance of time management.
- Thorough understanding of cross contamination effects and how to mitigate them.
- Adherence to strict Health and Safety standards throughout the food preparation process.
The Role
The meal plans would primarily consist of, but are not limited to: cereals, vegetable risotto, pasta dishes, chicken curry and soups.
