Exciting opportunity for a Lead Consultant to join a fast-growing PE backed SAAS business based in Manchester.

The Role

  • People management within the Consulting Team
  • Onboarding of strategically important new clients and delivering Consulting projects to key existing clients
  • Managing a portfolio of larger clients as a dedicated Customer Success Manager

People Management

You will be required to provide effective line management to mid-level members of the Consulting Team. This involves creating an environment that supports professional growth, drives accountability, and ensures individuals are set up for success in delivering high-quality work. You will act as a mentor and coach, helping team members to build capability, develop confidence, and progress their careers, while also ensuring performance expectations are met and aligned with the wider goals of the business. You will also serve as a trusted point of escalation for client-related issues and play a key role in shaping and embedding consistent processes, ways of working, and team practices that drive efficiency, quality, and collaboration.

Client Onboarding and Consulting Projects

You will be required to guide new strategically important clients through the smooth implementation of the software, performing the role of Onboarding Lead Consultant. You will be responsible for managing all key stages of an Onboarding Project. This will include supporting clients to develop strong business processes and delivering training sessions that maximize the benefits of the software; whilst also transferring existing data into the software to set them on a path to improved business performance. Additionally, you will support the companies growing consultancy offering by supporting their existing clients to maximize the benefits of the software. You will be responsible for managing a variety of Consultancy Projects, utilising your project management expertise and knowledge of the software to maximize the value their client’s gain from the platform as their business grows and evolves.

Customer Success Manager

You will also be responsible for customer success in relation to any live clients in the form of a dedicated Customer Success Manager to a small portfolio of clients, working in conjunction with the account management team to maximize the benefits of the product. The candidate will be responsible for their clients’ adoption of software and will utilise their expertise to support their clients’ growth.

Experience required

  • Proven track record of successfully line managing individuals, including setting objectives, giving feedback, and supporting career development
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective internal networks that support wider business operations.
  • Experience of providing professional services to clients, working in a consulting or project management role, managing a portfolio of concurrent engagements.
  • A proven track record of supporting business change projects in large, complex organisations.
  • Successful track record of managing and delivering multiple complex client engagements to a strict timeframe.
  • Experience of leading meetings and delivering services to senior client stakeholders.
  • Capable of driving significant change and the ability to challenge the status quo, providing innovative ideas and critique to conventional attitudes, and thinking.
