We need an experienced Senior Associate or Legal Director who is seeking partnership, to join our Succession & Tax team who are based in our Romsey and Swindon offices. You’ll lead and supervise this busy and dedicated team, whilst contributing to business development activities across the Thames Valley and Hampshire, to drive delivery of our growth strategy.

Day to day, you will have a varied caseload, including:

  • Providing tax and estate planning advice to a broad range of clients including high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients
  • Working closely with a range of clients including farmers and business owners on succession planning
  • Managing complex probate and estate administration matters
  • Advising on creation, restructuring and winding up of trusts
  • Providing advice on Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as Court of Protection matters.

This exciting progression opportunity will be based in Swindon, with regular travel to Romsey to support the team in both locations. You will also work closely with Partners and fee earners at our other offices.

You’ll be a qualified Solicitor or CILEX with higher rights, bringing significant relevant experience including:

  • Tax and estate planning expertise, advising a broad range of clients including high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients
  • Managing complex probate and estate administration matters
  • Advising on creation, restructuring and winding up of trusts
  • Advising on Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as Court of Protection matters
  • Advising farmers and business owners on succession planning would be highly desirable
  • Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and nurture junior members of staff
  • Strong Business Development skills and ability to generate referrals
  • Exemplary client service skills and the ability to understand and meet the needs of our clients
  • Ability to work alongside other teams in a holistic approach to meet the client’s needs
  • Good communication skills and ability to support and supervise junior members of staff
  • STEP Membership or working towards it
