We are looking for a proactive PR Executive to join our Bristol office. You will be working alongside our PR Manager and take an active role in the planning and execution of our internal and external PR strategies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Taking a role in the creation of the firm's external content including drafting press releases, thought leadership and columns.
  • Providing a focal point for Thrings internal communications activity; supporting the PR Manager to develop and implement internal communications strategies; planning, writing and editing internal communications content for the firm's intranet.
  • Supporting the PR Manager in the day-to-day running of Thrings press office, including dealing with media enquiries.
  • Managing and maintaining editorial calendars of relevant publications and monitor and record media coverage featuring the firm.
  • Taking an active role in suggesting content ideas to fee earning teams and the wider marketing team.
  • Working alongside the marketing team in creating content to help raise the profile of upcoming external events.
  • Supporting the PR Manager and fee earners in the creation and submission of the firm's submissions to the legal directories.
  • Supporting the PR Manager in meeting the communications-based objectives within the firm's overall growth strategy.

What we're looking for:

  • Educated to degree level, with an emphasis on English, communications or similar.
  • Must have prior experience in PR, communications, journalism or another relevant field.
  • Must be an excellent written and verbal communicator with experience in copywriting and content creation, a keen eye for detail and the ability to tailor content to different audiences.
  • Highly adept at prioritising a busy workload, working effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of professional services environment would be advantageous.

Working hours & location:

This is a hybrid role based in our Bristol office with occasional travel to our other offices in Bath, Swindon, London, Ross-on-Wye, Lydney, and Romsey. It's a full-time position, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
