We are looking for an experienced Solicitor to join the Corporate/Banking team in our Bristol office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with demonstrable experience of Banking and/or Corporate law looking for a new challenge and an interesting workload.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing a first-class service to clients through effective handling of client files (under supervision as appropriate).
- Reviewing and finalising facility, security and intercreditor documentation, perfecting security and assisting with the lender’s pre-completion requirements.
- Providing expert advice to clients.
- Dealing with post, emails and telephone calls.
- Supervising more junior members of the team.
- Providing a proactive and constructive input into the Team’s strategy.
- Planning and engaging in targeted business development activities to obtain new clients for own team, and for other teams within Thrings as appropriate.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of working as a Corporate Solicitor
- Ideally some experience of working with banking clients
- Minimum of 1-year PQE.
- Great communication and negotiation skills.
- Team player, whose personal ambition is expressed through team achievement.
- Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Location and working hours:
This is a hybrid position based in our Bristol office. There will be an opportunity for you to work with other fee earners within the corporate team based at our other offices.
It’s a full-time position, 35 hours per week. We will consider applications from candidates looking for part-time positions.

You’d be joining an inclusive and friendly Corporate/Banking team.
Our Corporate offering undertakes a balanced mixture of corporate work, including; mergers, acquisitions, disposals and corporate reorganisations, and Company and regulatory law matters.
The Banking Team acts as panel bank for many top high street and challenger banks, advising lenders and borrowers on a range of secured lending matters.
