About The Role

We’re seeking a HR Advisor for our Human Resources team in our Bath/Bristol/Swindon office. You will be joining a supportive and friendly team, which is central to driving the firm’s business strategy. Day to day, you can expect your responsibilities to include:

  • Acting as the primary contact for day-to-day employee relations matters across all teams, advising managers on recruitment, performance, absence, wellbeing, and broader HR and employee relations matters
  • Overseeing onboarding, inductions, and new starter check-ins
  • Managing employee absence; holiday, family leave, sickness
  • Supporting the annual pay review process
  • Reviewing and approving HR documentation (contracts, changes to terms, leaver letters)
  • Conducting exit interviews and reporting themes to HR Business Partners
  • Supporting employee engagement, wellbeing, ED&I initiatives, and HR projects
  • Ensuring HR compliance, policy updates, and assisting with day-to-day HR queries

Whilst this role is based in our Bath/Bristol/Swindon office, there will be the opportunity for you to work with other teams based at our other offices. As we are a people facing team, you will need to be able to travel to all our offices as required.

About You

We’re extremely proud of the relationship we’ve built with our colleagues across the firm. Your ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with our teams will play a key role in delivering exceptional client service and driving successful outcomes:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified
  • Previous experience in a legal or professional services environment is essential
  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an HR Advisor role
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment legislation, with the ability to advise and influence at all levels
  • Experienced in performance management and managing organisational change
  • Effective communicator; confident with building relationships at all organisational levels and keeping the wider HR team updated on developments within your role
  • Strong organisational and IT skills (skilled in Excel to analyse and report on HR data effectively)
