Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Therapeutic Programme Development, Maintenance and Support: Contribute to the development and participation of a programme centred towards rehabilitative and supportive care. Promote and enable each resident to enhance their independence within the therapeutic setting. Assist allocated residents with personalised support for their development. Adopt a collaborative approach in community development with resident involvement. Facilitate regular working groups with residents and for staff developmental purposes.
  • Staff Development: Adopt a coaching approach for newly joined Project Workers and Wardens, if applicable.
  • Project Operations: Assist the Project Manager, Deputy Project Manager or nominee with ensuring operational efficiency of the Project, including: ensuring agreed level of occupancy, maintaining standardised records, compliance with Licence and Tenancy Agreements, operating within budgetary parameters, and adhering to Health and Safety legislation.
  • External Stakeholders: Ensure a best practice approach when engaging with external stakeholders, including Health and Social Care (HSC) Trusts, Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE), and nominated Housing Associations. Maintain regular contact with designated allied health professionals.
  • Collaborative Working: Attend and participate in scheduled staff meetings. Work collaboratively with other internal departments, including Finance, Digital, Human Resources, IT, and Learning and Development.
  • Supervision and Training: Participate in monthly supervision sessions with Manager or suitable nominee. Ensure participation in mandatory and refresher training as required.
  • General: Actively promote the organisational mission, values, aims, and objectives, ensuring adherence to all Policies and Procedures. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including NISCC registration and Access NI check requirements. Person Specification

  • Education and Professional Qualifications: Essential GCSE English and Mathematics Grades A-C or demonstrable equivalent & Lvl 3 RQF Qualification or equivalent & six months demonstrable experience in a Health & Social Care Environment, or a psychology degree (lv 6) or other relevant discipline.
  • Circumstances: Essential to be fully flexible as the role involves working on a Rota/shift basis in a mental health setting.
  • Competencies: Essential ability to demonstrate alignment with Threshold's core values: Communication and interpersonal skills, motivation and drive for excellence, innovation and creativity, integrity and honesty, collaboration and teamwork.
  • Information Technology: Desirable experience with Microsoft Office systems.
  • Additional Requirements: Desirable to possess a current and valid driving license or access to transport that meets the post requirements.
  • Experience: Desirable proven experience working in mental health.
