The Digital Data Specialist (Visualisation) plays a critical role in delivering world‑class digital data reporting and visualisations. Reporting to a Digital Data Manager, each Specialist is responsible for a defined scope (e.g., a set of journeys, a brand domain, a product category, or a platform area). They ensure that data is accurately transformed and clearly represented through a suite of visualisations to aid decision making within the team and wider business.
Responsibilities
- Develop compelling visualisations that track core metrics and provide a deep understanding of customer journeys across Vodafone Three’s estate, spanning both digital and assisted channels.
- Build data pipelines that power visualisations, ensuring data is robust, accurate and scalable.
- Work with data primarily residing in GCP and Snowflake.
- Experience transforming data through solutions such as dbt.
- Demonstrate compelling storytelling; an ability to tell a complex narrative clearly to influence stakeholders to act on it.
- Develop visualisations in Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau or MicroStrategy.
- Co‑develop the visualisation backlog, working with product owners to prioritise delivery.
- Create, manage, and enforce visualisation standards to ensure robust and consistent dashboard governance.
- Educate and upskill business users on visualisation tools.
- Build strong collaboration with Vodafone Three’s data teams to leverage platforms and support when needed.
- Build strong relationships with the end users of the visualisations created.
- Staying up to date with the latest news, innovations and trends in visualisation, data automation and technology.
Qualifications
- Strong visual design skills in bringing complex insights to life in Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau or MicroStrategy.
- Expertise in data transformation, using tools such as dbt.
- At ease working with complex data sets applying strong technical coding skills in SQL for data aggregation.
- Familiarity with Python is a bonus for bespoke data development and visualisation.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Google BigQuery or Snowflake.
- Technical experience in digital analytics and associated technologies, preferably with the Adobe stack.
- Passionate about data visualisation, presenting disparate data sources into a compelling story to drive data‑led change and develop a data community.
- Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions.
- Self‑starter with the ability to demonstrate self‑direction, take others on a journey to achieve outcomes.
