The Legal Counsel supports the day‑to‑day regulatory activities of VodafoneThree. The role involves providing high‑quality, expert, practical and regulatory advice across VodafoneThree’s consumer and enterprise business, supporting the design and delivery of compliant customer journeys, and contributing to embedding regulatory governance in commercial decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory implementation: Support the design, development and delivery of compliant customer journeys, propositions and communications across VodafoneThree consumer and business brands, ensuring compliance with Ofcom and CMA rules. Ensure approach aligns with strategic goals.
- Advisory & Documentation: Draft, review and approve customer‑facing materials ensuring they meet business and regulatory requirements. Provide specialist expert counsel on consumer law and regulation.
- Commercial Governance: Participate in proposition and pricing approval forums, ensuring regulatory and legal issues are identified early and managed effectively.
- Integration Compliance: Support the integration of Vodafone and Three consumer products and systems, identifying regulatory risks and ensuring consistent compliance standards are applied across legacy businesses.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work collaboratively with colleagues in Legal, Regulatory Policy, Product, Marketing, Technology and Operations to implement practical compliance solutions and foster a culture of proactive regulatory delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Help evolve playbooks, templates and guidance notes to improve consistency, efficiency and understanding of regulatory requirements across the business.
Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer with experience working within a specialist legal or regulatory delivery team advising on UK consumer protection law and Ofcom regulatory frameworks.
- Understanding of telecoms products, customer journeys and the regulatory and legal frameworks that govern them.
- Demonstrated ability to embed regulatory obligations into commercial and operational processes at scale.
- Skilled in balancing compliance requirements with commercial and operational realities.
- Proven ability to interpret legal, regulatory and technical requirements.
