Our team of Consultants are widely known for their considerable knowledge, capability and experience of managing electricity transmission and distribution networks and assets.

The Opportunity

Have you the capability to deliver innovative and value-added solutions for electricity networks? Do you have the potential to become an industry respected consultant and leading technical expert in your field? If so, then we are looking for you to join our growing consultancy team and make a real difference.

We have a number of exciting and varied projects commencing in 2025, which will examine real issues with T&D networks and equipment and will delve into the capability of electricity networks to deliver Net Zero ambitions. We will be challenging industry assumptions about networks and we be using data analysis to support this.

Your role will be:

  • to embed yourself within our close-knit team and help to deliver these important projects
  • to use your engineering intelligence, your experience in delivering technical solutions and your drive to discover key findings
  • to project manage high profile technical projects to our exacting quality standards using your already developed project management and communication abilities
  • to listen to our clients to understand their problems and needs with the aim of developing convincing proposals for further projects

This is a hybrid role where you will have flexibility to work from home and from our offices in central Manchester. You will be required to occasionally travel in the UK for project work and new project development. You may also have the opportunity to travel overseas for future projects.

About You

You will:

  • be either trained, working or consulting in a technical role in electricity networks or similar area
  • ideally be in an engineering consultancy or an electricity network operator (although not essential)
  • be highly self-motivated and organised with a proven track record of delivering technical solutions and projects
  • be someone who excels in a team environment, who demonstrates reliability, positivity, flexibility and makes an active contribution when working with others
  • have the core values of honesty, integrity and professionalism
  • be comfortable getting to grips with data and using tools that aid the analysis of data
  • have excellent written/report writing skills with the capability to develop as a technical author
  • be able to communicate complex technical and strategic aspects of electricity networks to our clients with comprehension, clarity and brevity
  • be eligible to work in the UK and be able to travel independently (full, clean driving licence preferable)

Qualifications & Professional Experience

You will:

  • be in the process of achieving chartership (or have already achieved C.Eng status)
  • at least 5 years’ post graduate professional experience
  • an Honours degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent in electrical and electronic engineering (other engineering degrees may be considered dependent on experience)
