The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
To support the Quality department’s activities in the delivery of product to clients, including ensuring all required certification is obtained and submitted. To help in maintaining the QMS by participating in audits both internal and external and related improvement activities. To provide H&S advice and guidance and support any H&S initiatives within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans and other quality related documentation, as required by Project Specifications.
- Ensure suppliers are aware of all Quality requirements for the product they are supplying and implement those requirements.
- Carry out inspections and audits at suppliers premises to allow progress and release of product.
- Liaise with customers in Quality related activities.
- Assist in the supplier selection and management process.
- Assist in the management and resolution of nonconformance from suppliers, where applicable.
- Review material certification, test reports and other documents pertaining to the quality of product and collating all required documents for submission to client.
- Goods Inwards, in process and final inspection of product in the workshop.
- Provide guidance in health and safety aspects and participate in H&S activities carried out by the company.
- Prepare and review Risk Assessments for tasks carried out in the workshops, as required.

- Ensure you wear appropriate PPE at all times in designated areas. This also applies to ensuring colleagues, Contractors and Visitors adhere.

Competence Requirements
- Knowledge and Skills
- Experience of quality in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
- Competent in Microsoft applications.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good time management skills – can multi-task and time conscious to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time.
- Knowledge of fabrication and machining (Desirable).
- Knowledge of offshore certifying authority regulations (Desirable).
- Knowledge of Engineering design (Desirable).
Academic
- Qualification in an Engineering or Quality discipline.
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Auditing qualification (Desirable).
