THREE60 Operations Division are currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician to join the team on a full time, fixed term basis until at least the end of 2026.

Our ideal candidate will quickly progress up to REP Level, so would have undertaken a role at this level in the past.

The successful candidate will serve as Senior Authority for all electrical safety matters on the platform while maintaining utilities plant and associated equipment in compliance with statutory requirements. Responsible for controlling and ensuring safety of all electrical equipment while executing planned preventative, remedial and breakdown maintenance in accordance with Maintenance Management System (MMS).

You will facilitate all areas of decommissioning and engineering run down.

This is anoffshore rotational rolemobilising out of Dyce, Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assessing and evaluating candidates for Electrical Competence
  • Carry out electrical maintenance activities
  • Complete preventative and remedial maintenance in accordance with MMS schedule and work instructions, with particular emphasis on safety critical activities
  • Design, Implementation and Authorisation of Electrical Isolations in accordance with company procedures, control of work procedures and Electrical Safety Rules
  • Carry out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all platform equipment, ensuring any repairs are addressed promptly
  • Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and carry out and apply effective fault finding and investigation techniques
  • Carry out major services, overhauls and intrusive maintenance on platform electrical equipment
  • Carry out and participate in Root Cause Analysis to improve equipment reliability
  • Carry out Competence Assessment and Assurance activities at site as required to meet Asset/Organisational requirements
  • Liaise with the Electrical Engineer and Electrical TA as required on matters of electrical authorisation and maintain register of authorisations issued
  • Achieve REP status following assessment by the Electrical TA or appointed delegate
  • Ensure comprehensive work history is recorded in MMS and any follow up work and material required is identified
  • Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change
  • Identify and propose ideas and solutions without loss of integrity and present idea(s) to relevant management
  • Support and improve team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices
  • Create, maintain & enhance effective working relations and identify and minimise interpersonal conflict
  • Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace

Competence Requirements

  • Qualified and certified REP essential
  • Core trade competence in electrical discipline (apprenticeship or HNC/HND)
  • CompEx Units Ex 01 to 04 (Electrical)
  • HV Switching & System Control (City & Guilds 0672)
  • HV/LV Protection Relay Training
  • BS7671 (IET Requirements for Electrical Isolations)
  • PAT Testing qualification
  • Electrical Safety Rules expertise
  • Electricity at Work Regulations knowledge
  • First Aid for Electricians
  • Advanced Gas Tester Level 1 essential
  • BOSIET / FOET with CA-EBS (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training)
  • OEUK Medical
  • Valid MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training)
  • Control of Work, to the relevant level
  • MMS proficiency essential
  • Emergency response capabilities essential
  • Right to work in the UK essential
