The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Role Purpose: Leading the marketing effort and reporting to the Group Strategic Growth Director, the Group Marketing and Communications Manager will be tasked with the development, implementation and execution of Group level marketing and communications plan covering the groups services, across all businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Marketing Activity
  • Ensure consistent application of the group’s main and sub-brands both internally and externally.
  • Ensure the group’s brand is positively represented in its respective markets by sharing ‘good news stories’ and key case studies to showcase the capabilities of the group.
  • Develop marketing plans and activity to align each business to the group’s overall objectives.
  • Routinely communicate with Site Heads and Senior Leadership to understand priorities for the upcoming period and develop marketing plans in collaboration to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Identify key industry events to attend and/or exhibit at which align with the overall objectives of the group.
  • Plan and deliver exhibitions, events, corporate hospitality and conferences.
  • Creation of promotional merchandise, show flyers, pre and post event marketing.
  • Submit summary of marketing activity monthly for SLT and board meetings.
  • Present marketing update at SLT meetings when requested.
  • General Marketing Activity
    • Designing, building and updating Group, service and industry presentations.
    • Creating, editing and sending to print brochures, adverts, flyers and business cards.
    • Creation and scheduling of email campaigns, both internal and external use.
    • Keeping the company’s multiple WordPress websites up to date:
    • Creating new webpages and content.
    • Monitoring and improving the website’s SERPs.
    • Posting news articles, case studies and company updates.
  • Updating company social media channels.
  • Monitor Group website’s analytics and look for issues or improvement opportunities.
  • Support commercial team, including sales and BD teams across the group.
  • Take photos and record videos for use with marketing activities.
  • Think creatively to help generate new ideas.
  • Support and answer sales team requests.
  • Respond to or forward on email enquiries.
  • Communications
    • Develop and implement an effective and engaging internal communications plan, ensuring all employees across the Group are aligned with the overall mission and objectives.
    • Develop and write content for the internal news platform.
    • Listen and respond to suggestions for improvement made by staff members and present suitable suggestions to SLT for implementation.
    • Write and distribute communications on behalf of the CEO and SLT to all employees.
    • Write and distribute press releases for all areas of the business covering contract awards and group news.
    • Portray the group in a positive light sharing relevant news and case studies externally, both on owned and paid for media channels.
    • Respond to industry activity with engaging content showcasing the group in a positive way.
  • Emergency Response
    • Form part of the Emergency Response team as required.

    Competence Requirements

    • Knowledge & Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree in Marketing or Chartered Institute of Marketing Level 6 qualification is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of Adobe CS, in particular Adobe Photoshop, is essential. Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere or Adobe Illustrator is highly advantageous.
    • Knowledge of WordPress or similar CMS (including basic working knowledge of HTML/CSS).
  • Skills & Experience
    • Experience with MailChimp or similar ESP.
    • Creative flair, originality and strong visual sense with good attention to detail.
    • Copy writing skills.
    • An excellent team player and communicator.
    • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
    • Proactive, task driven and positive attitude.
    • Experienced in working with multiple project stakeholders.
