The Digital Data Manager (Future Insights) plays a critical role in building a world‑class digital data foundation. Accountable for a designated domain (brand, platform, capability area or journey) and oversee a team of Data Specialists responsible for enabling accurate, consistent, scalable and future‑ready digital data across all analytics, insight, and optimisation platforms.

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analytics engineers and data science to build the organisation’s next generation of digital analytical capabilities.
  • Prioritise and manage the onboarding of new datasets based on strategic value, ensuring they enable advanced analytics, predictive insights, and AI‑driven solutions.
  • Translate business and analytical needs into structured onboarding plans that accelerate the delivery of model‑ready and insight‑ready data.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of digital dataset integration into GCP and Snowflake, ensuring scalable design and alignment with analytical and machine‑learning requirements.
  • Deliver high‑quality datasets that support predictive modelling, real‑time insights, and advanced analytical use cases.
  • Enhance onboarding efficiency by identifying process gaps and implementing automation and standardisation where beneficial.
  • Establish scalable ingestion patterns across APIs, batch processes, native connectors, and warehouse extracts, optimised for analytical workloads.
  • Build robust data pipelines with embedded validation and quality controls to ensure reliable inputs for analytics and modelling.
  • Work with Big Data and engineering teams to ensure all pipelines meet GCP / Snowflake best practices, governance expectations, and security standards.
  • Guide new data capabilities and requirements through internal security and privacy assessments to ensure compliant delivery.
  • Create reusable frameworks, patterns, and standards that expand self‑serve analytics and accelerate the delivery of future analytical products.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in data engineering or data platform delivery roles, with a strong track record of onboarding and integrating new data sources.
  • Proven experience delivering data solutions in cloud environments such as GCP or Snowflake.
  • Strong hands‑on expertise in SQL and Python, with the ability to guide and review production‑quality code and data pipelines.
  • Experience designing and implementing data ingestion patterns within cloud infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling techniques for analytical and reporting use cases.
  • Experience working with predictive analytics, including preparing model‑ready datasets and supporting data science workflows.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams, providing technical leadership, and establishing engineering best practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable data delivery solutions.
