Ready to help a bold digital brand win in the new era of search? This role partners closely with the SEO/GEO Lead to elevate SMARTY’s organic visibility across both traditional search engines and fast‑emerging AI‑driven agentic discovery channels. As an SEO Specialist, you’ll own and execute the content, technical, and optimisation roadmap for one or more product lines. Your mission is simple: ensure our digital experiences are discoverable, compliant, technically robust, and constantly growing in visibility and traffic share. You’ll shape how people find and engage with SMARTY — and you’ll do it at the cutting edge of where SEO is heading next.
What you’ll do:
- SEO Execution – Deliver day‑to‑day optimisation across content, technical, on‑page and off‑page levers to boost organic visibility and traffic for your assigned areas.
- Performance Monitoring – Track daily search performance, keyword rankings, agentic visibility, CTRs and landing‑page metrics, highlighting opportunities or issues to the SEO/GEO Manager.
- Content Optimisation – Implement metadata updates, internal linking improvements and page‑experience enhancements aligned with the SEO roadmap.
- Technical SEO – Run technical checks across crawlability, indexation, schema markup, page speed and Core Web Vitals, collaborating with engineering and digital delivery teams to resolve issues.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Lead the delivery of optimised content briefs and partner with copywriters, UX, brand and product teams to ensure SEO best practice is embedded throughout.
Qualifications:
- SEO Experience – Hands‑on execution in SEO (agency or in‑house), ideally within telecoms, retail, travel, utilities or other fast‑moving, high‑competition sectors.
- Core SEO Expertise – Strong understanding of content optimisation, technical SEO, keyword research, schema markup and page‑experience fundamentals.
- Tool Proficiency – Confident using leading SEO and analytics platforms such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Looker and Adobe/GA.
- AI & Agentic Search Awareness – Understanding of emerging discovery channels including AI search engines, LLM‑driven answer engines and GEO‑style platforms.
- Data‑Driven Mindset – Comfortable interpreting performance data and translating insights into clear, actionable optimisation tasks.
