This role governs VodafoneThree’s commercial relationships with the Cornerstone Towerco and the associated relationship with VMO2, overseeing £0.3bn annual spend. It ensures strategic alignment, value creation, and effective governance across contractual, financial, and performance dimensions, leading strategic and commercial discussions with VodafoneThree, Cornerstone and VMO2 senior representatives.
- Accountable for the commercial governance of contractual, financial, performance and relationship aspects in regard to Cornerstone and VMO2 with oversight of +£0.3bn of annual spend.
- Represent VodafoneThree’s commercial position at contractual governance meetings influencing senior leaders at Cornerstone and VMO2 and prepare the leadership team ahead of Executive Steering Committee and Management Steering Committee and the production of financial collateral to support regular senior stakeholder meetings and strategic decision making.
- Accountable for developing a long-term commercial strategy in collaboration with the Business Owners for Cornerstone that secures stakeholder outcomes, drives best value, and delivers incremental benefits to the joint business plan.
- Encourage a collaborative approach to identifying and addressing contract-related challenges, fostering an environment where business owners take ownership of finding solutions and the related budget impacts.
- Coordination and input into the Cornerstone annual budget process.
- Hold business owners accountable for managing budgets effectively, identifying potential overruns or savings, and communicating financial impacts clearly whilst building strong and sustainable relationships with business owners, and other stakeholders by prioritising their needs, delivering on promises, and exceeding expectations.
- Lead strategic evaluation of contractual scope changes working with business owners and pulling in procurement, legal and finance expertise to complete the reviews to support board recommendations and drive incremental value to the VodafoneThree Joint Business Plan.
- Foster open and honest communication, building trust and transparency with stakeholders by actively listening to feedback, sharing information clearly, and addressing concerns promptly.
- Working with the Senior Strategic Financial Governance Manager, maintain long-term financial plans in line with latest strategic decisions.
- Interface with T&O Commercial Finance team and the business function to ensure alignment on Budgets and long-term plans, and to understand key deviations to plan.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of TowerCo commercial models in telecoms.
- Experience of commercial management of contracts and strategic partnerships.
- Experience of leading a cross functional team and gravitas to challenge the status quo and decision making.
- Experience of influencing senior leaders within own organisation and across partner organisations and drive outcomes.
- Skilled in financial planning, scenario financial modelling, procurement, and governance.
