As Data Product Designer you will play a critical part in shaping the data-layer design of the unified data platform. You will translate business requirements into actionable designs and work closely with Data Engineering to create data products that transform how the business accesses and uses information. You will be part of the Data Product Strategy and Business Enablement team at VodafoneThree, where we define high-quality data products that align with business needs and priorities.
- Own the business data layer design of the Unified Data Platform
- Design products that meet business needs and are optimised for self-serve solutions
- Own and maintain the metrics catalogue, capturing metric definitions and ensuring alignment with business users
- Work with D&A Engineering to ensure metrics are applied consistently across the UDP through a metrics layer
- Work towards the strategic vision for UDP, ensuring remediation for tactical solutions is taken into consideration
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the UDP and its capabilities
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data product design and management
- Ensure data products are designed with scalability, reliability, and performance in mind
Qualifications
- Proven experience in data product design and architecture
- Understanding of data modelling concepts
- Understanding of how to design data products that meet user needs and are intuitive to use
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence and negotiate
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to assess complex data and make informed decisions
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions
