Financial Assistant

Three Six Zero is seeking a confident and passionate finance assistant to help expand the UK finance team, with an interest or previous experience working in the music or entertainment industry. As a finance assistant you will be responsible for assisting with the company\’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and finance leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes and reporting. This role will be based out of our London location and we are currently in the office 3-4 days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the company\’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including AR, AP, and other GL accounts
• Prepare and raise invoices as required, including monthly reconciliation to the booking system
• Reviewing and chasing debtors as required
• Process bills In a timely manner, including liaison with managers and key staff for relevant signatories
• Set up the weekly supplier payment run
• Dealing with queries and any issues relating to invoices and payments
• Assistance in bank account maintenance and monitoring of cash positions by maintaining weekly cash flow statement
• Ensure completion of monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Review expense accounts monthly for incorrectly posted items and record journal entry to reclassify
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to management, including budget vs. actual analysis and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with all accounting and tax regulations
• Ensuring efficiency of process and pro-actively identifying opportunities for process improvement and commercial enhancement
• Assist in preparing ad hoc business analysis

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor\’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
• 1 – 2 years’ worth of relevant experience
• Likely studying towards an accountancy qualification
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems (e.g., NetSuite)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data using Excel
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, able to work cross-functionally with various teams
• High level of integrity and ethics, ensuring the confidentiality of financial information
• Passion for music and the entertainment industry, with an understanding of its unique financial aspects

>Familiarity with royalty accounting and music-specific revenue recognition is a plus
