Three Shires Ltd are specialist contractors to the Construction, Rail, Utilities, Highways, and Civil Infrastructure sectors. For the last 20 years, Three Shires has developed long-standing relationships with the UK's leading House Builders, Construction Contractors, Civil Engineers, Developers, Environmental and Ecological Consultants. Our services include Ecological, Vegetation Clearance, Invasive Weed, Tree Protection, Site Hoarding and Security Fencing; we also undertake all other aspects of site enablement.
The Role:
- As an Invasive Weed Consultant/Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive expert advice and reassurance from day one.
- To deliver high-quality consultancy via competent on-site assessment followed by detailed, accurate reporting which will enable our clients to make informed choices about their invasive plant problem.
- You will need to be able to think on your feet, make astute assessments of clients' requirements and then use a persuasive, teaching style to communicate how our business can best help them taking account of any constraints.
- Working from home and our offices in Melton Mowbray, you will be covering all regions of the UK with the occasional overnight stay.
Key Responsibilities of Invasive Weed Consultant/Surveyor:
- Preparing and submitting Management Plans which include technical recommendations and costings.
- Providing follow-up support to clients through their decision-making process.
- Following up all proposals in a timely fashion with the aim of securing instructions for the proposed work.
- Meeting defined sales targets relating to both value of secured work and conversion rates.
- Building relationships with existing and potential clients to develop repeat/referral business.
- Implementing and supervising the removal of INNS.
Skills and Experience of Invasive Weed Consultant/Surveyor:
- CSJK qualification.
- Hold a PA1/PA6 licence.
- Hold certificate of competence for stem injection of pesticides.
- Have PCA membership.
- A passion for the environment and an interest in plants.
- Knowledge of landscaping/construction plant and waste disposal will be advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work at a fast pace, with accuracy.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Package.
