A County Durham based manufacturer, supplying fabricated metal products to the construction sector, is recruiting an Operator for their production facility.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Operator role covers the running of punch and press machinery to agreed design specifications and quality standards.

This is a practical, active Operator position within an established production team.

Key responsibilities Operating punch and press machinery to required specifications Supporting the evaluation of engineering drawings Working towards individual and team production targets Completing safety checks and documentation to standard Carrying out TPM and reporting repair or servicing needs Moving material around the factory as needed Contributing to new working methods and process improvements Maintaining a safe, organised workspace in line with 5S What you'll bring At least three years' relevant industry experience operating punch and press machinery Strong attention to detail and confidence with maths and technical drawings Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles A flexible, practical approach to problem solving As an Operator, you should be able to work confidently with minimal supervision, as in depth t...
