An established engineering and steel construction business is looking to appoint an experiencedSenior Design Engineerto take responsibility for the technical delivery of a range of structural steel projects.
This is a senior position within the design function, combining hands-on structural design with project responsibility, technical coordination and oversight of other design engineers. The successfulSenior Design Engineerwill work closely with colleagues across the business, as well as external project stakeholders, to ensure design requirements, technical programmes and quality standards are achieved.
The Role
AsSenior Design Engineer, you will manage allocated projects from the design perspective, covering both tender-stage work and live contracts.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the design requirements for allocated projects and ensuring agreed technical programmes are achieved.
- Producing and reviewing structural design calculations for steel members, frames and connections.
- Undertaking temporary works design where required and ensuring appropriate procedures are maintained. xgikmsk
